スケールスピード計測 is a stopwatch designed specifically for measuring the scale speed of model trains. With this app, users can input the measurement distance and scale, and the app will calculate and display the scale speed based on the measured time. The app also allows users to easily input the distance by specifying the layout's rail type and quantity.
In addition to manual measurements, the app offers an automatic measurement feature. By placing the smartphone near the rail and using the microphone input, users can start the automatic measurement. The app will measure the time between peaks in the sound level, which represents one full lap. To ensure accurate measurements, users can position the device to exceed the baseline level (horizontal line) when the train approaches.
Please note that the automatic measurement may not work well in noisy environments or when the train's sound is too low. In such cases, manual measurements can be performed. Both manual and automatic measurements have a maximum time limit of 30 minutes.
The app includes pre-registered rails for popular scales such as HO gauge (Kato, Märklin), N gauge (Kato, Tomix), and Z gauge (Rokuhan).
